Interview with Sabercats & Thretton Palamo
This past week our hosts on Hope 4 Houston, Damien and Mea, sat down with the Houston Sabercats Rugby team and their very own player Thretton Palamo.
If you didn't read it correctly, Palamo's first name, Thretton, is actually pronounced as 'threaten'. Great name for the game, huh? Palamo not only has a fitting name, but is a talented player who took the time to share with us some of his techniques, experiences, and patience to entertain some questions for our some of our listeners who may not have been so well versed on the game of Rugby.
Not only did Palamo share rugby wisdom with us, but we also got informed on the amazing community work the Sabercats are accomplishing here in Houston. We included a clip from the interview below where we got into some of the details on a project between some at risk schools hand selected by the governor and the Sabercats.
Rugby is a great activity for young people to get involved in and the Sabercats are offering plenty of awesome opportunities for young people to learn how to play the game, and even learn how to play football in a safer, more strategic way. Stay tuned for more updates on the Houston Sabercats as we continue to stay in touch. Also, don't miss out on their new stadium, Aveva. The grand opening will be Saturday, May 11th, at 7:00 p.m. You can find more information here. https://www.houstonsabercats.com/stadium/
